Theresa Gloster Theresa Gloster was born in Filbert, West Virginia, and she was raised by her grandparents in the company of their 12 children in Western North Carolina. At 50 years old, Theresa is a relative newcomer to painting. She started about 7 years ago when she prayed to God for direction. She received a vision of a painting, which she promptly painted, and she hasn’t been able to stop herself ever since. She paints on any surface that presents itself, be it board, place mat, church fan, wall, or van. Theresa paints scenes from her life and she paints stories she hears while working as a hairdresser. Sometimes picturesque, sometimes playful, sometimes poignant, her genre paintings reflect real life, with all of its inherent joys and hardships. |
